TEACHERS DAY


The Teacher’s day celebration began with a warm welcome to distinguished department members and a speech by Dr. M. Omkumar, who emphasized the importance of teachers in shaping students’ futures. His inspiring words highlighted the dedication and lasting impact educators have on students’ lives.
A special felicitation ceremony followed, where students expressed gratitude by presenting roses and pens to faculty as tokens of appreciation.The entire event reflected deep respect and gratitude towards the teaching community.

AME - INAUGURATION






At the Annual Inauguration of the forthcoming tenure of AME, graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. V.G. Sakthi Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Schwing Stetter India Pvt. Ltd., who provided insights into the opportunities available to students beyond campus, especially in the manufacturing and infrastructure industries, the emphasis was laid on unity, knowledge-sharing, and future aspirations of DoME. The new office bearers of AME and its committee members were formally introduced by the General Secretaries, Mr. K. Duraimani and Ms. K. Divyadharshini, followed by the respective teams responsible for organizing various events and initiatives in tandem with DoME’s achievements, aspirations, and path forward.

ONAM CELEBRATION



The Onam celebration at DoME was a joyful evening filled with cultural splendor and vibrant performances. Students showcased their talents through melodious singing and graceful dances. The Tug of War event brought energy and friendly competition, fostering teamwork. The event beautifully embraced the spirit of Onam, uniting everyone in joy and togetherness.
PLACEMENT TALK



The CUIC-AME Placement Talk was led by Dr. K. Shanmuga Sundaram and attended by students from 2nd to 4th year and M.E programs. He shared his motivational journey and explained CUIC’s role in bridging the gap between academics and industry.
Students were encouraged to focus on skill-building, internships, and adaptability to meet evolving company expectations.The talk also emphasized soft skills, personal growth, and managing distractions to maintain focus on career goals.

WORKSHOP ON AR/ML TECHNOLOGY BY REMARKABLY AI




The workshop on AR and ML technologies was conducted by Mr. Zulfiquar Ali for 2nd and 3rd-year students. He explained the applications of Augmented Reality in manufacturing and the importance of programming skills in core industries. Activities included hands-on tasks like developing a camera app to engage students practically.
He also introduced the types of machine learning and AR, emphasizing their relevance in modern technology. The workshop provided valuable insights into emerging tech trends and career-relevant skills.

Mr. Venkat Kumaresan, AVP of Exela Technologies, conducted a session on “Eight Super Skills to Gain an Edge in Your Career” for 3rd-year students. He emphasized the importance of communication, industry awareness, and cognitive bias mastery for professional success. The interactive talk encouraged self-reflection and skill development.

Mr. V Balakrishnan, an incredible motivational speaker, demonstrated contagious passion and energy in a session packed with valuable excerpts that resonated with real-life experiences that motivate one to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth by setting clear goals and defining one’s roadmap to achieve them. It wasn’t just passive listening—he incorporated interactive exercises that encouraged audience participation in a positive and uplifting atmosphere.

SEMINAR ON ABROAD EDUCATION


The seminar on abroad education commenced on August 17th in our department. The event was organized by Association of Manufacturing Engineers and featured a guest speaker, Mr. Vinod, who specializes in guiding students towards successful international education experiences.
Attendees were invited to ask questions and seek clarification on the educational fair, the services offered by the consultancy, and related topics. Then the Attendees were encouraged to consider the fair as a valuable resource for planning their academic and career paths

STUDENTS MENTORING ON SOFT SKILLS



The soft skills training session held on 07/11/23 was aimed at enhancing the interpersonal and professional skills of the participants. The training covered key areas such as communication skills, teamwork, time management,
adaptability, emotional intelligence, leadership, and conflict resolution. The session was designed to be interactive, engaging, and practical, providing participants with valuable insights and tools for personal and professional development

MOCK GROUP DISCUSSION



The Association of Manufacturing Engineers (AME) recently organized an insightful mock group discussion session for the third-year students. This event, conducted in collaboration with the Class of Seventy Six (COSS), aimed to equip students with the necessary skills for effective group discussions—an essential component of various professional settings.
Led by esteemed mentors in the field, the session provided a platform for students to engage, learn, and grow. participants were divided into groups, each tasked with selecting a topic from a range of options provided. The groups, fueled by enthusiasm and curiosity, embarked on lively debates and exchanges, showcasing their analytical prowess and communication skills
